TheirSpace: Workspace redesign

The Customer Design Center (CDC) at MSN provides a "unified user experience" so the redesign of their offices was planned to improve their own user experience of the space they work in. The in-house User Experience Group put staff at the heart of the process - finding out about their individual and work-related needs, attitudes and work patterns. Having been involved in the process from the beginning, staff felt they had "ownership" of their workspace. They express satisfaction, feel more motivated and are enthusiastic about the positive effect the redesign has had on their working practices. They collaborate and share ideas more easily, are more creative and say it has also improved their productivity - a win/win situation for all! The clip can be seen on the Information Architecture Television blog MSN Design Center Workspace Design
