Getting People to Talk

The Getting People to Talk video is well worth a look - I've watched it three times already and learned something new each time! Responsibilities and Implications: Further Thoughts on Ethnography and Design by Paul Dourish discusses the visibility of User Experience within the design process.

IN THE BEGINNING.....
With a background in design ( and general tendency to collect), I have always kept journals/scrapbooks, wherever I go I like to write, draw and collect ephemera. I have never blogged, and never thought I would (!) but when we had a class on blogging and saw some examples of blogs, I could see how it would work for me. It will be a great way for me to gather and share information thoughout the Design Ethnography course. It will also keep me focused and motivate me to keep it up to date.

So, a place for anything directly or tenuously related to DE plus 'stuff' to share/keep/refer to later. It will certainly grow over the months into an eclectic mix of jottings, links, images, clips and anything else that catches my attention!
P.S. This image (detail at top) is a painting I did for the cover of an accountancy journal to illustrate the main article, 'The Law Survey' - my personal impression of what could be going on in their busy heads!
